11.30am - 3pm Open Day As part of the Save the Tower initiative. Come and discover the history of the church and Aberconwy Abbey that once stood on the same spot. Volunteers will be available to guide you through the magnificent heritage of this site

Telford 200 Bicentenary Parade
Begins on the Quay at 10.30am

10.30am Penrhos Community Wind Band
We welcome this unique ensemble of talented musicians. A true testament to the spirit of community togetherness and wonderful music to start the day.

12pm The Telford Parade commencing along the Cob (please start gathering at 11.30am). Accompanied by the Menai Bridge Band. We will move onto the road, over the bridge and finish on Conwy Quay. A rare opertunity to be part of this wonderful historic community event.

12.20pm The Knights of Snowdon Corps of Drums A huge welcome to this dedicated group of musicians, mums, dads, and veterans proudly entertaining us as part of the celebrations.

1.15pm Dance with Cinti The talented students will be giving us a wonderful, accomplished dance performance showcasing their fabulous ability and artistic prowess.

2pm The Conwy Sea Dogs Come along and join the entertainment for the popular local shanty band who are well known for their foot stomping maritime tunes and original music to entertain us.

10am - 2pm The Unveiling of a 15m community collaboration
The Conwy River winds through all our lives. It's only when you see it laid out on a HUGE map do you see how it flows through each village and town, shaping, influencing, connecting all of us. Then you realise just how significant it is and why we need to look after it. The magnificent textile and collage depicting the river Conwy's journey from its source to the sea, capturing the many varied landscapes that the water passes through, including mountains, moorlands, woods, tidal stretches, and the historic Conwy Castle, Town walls and bridges before flowing to the sea. 30 schools across Conwy took part in creating the beautiful Migneint scroll, over 850 pupils made their mark! Drop in family craft session and marquetry demonstration. Celebrating the natural beauty of Conwy and work to restore the river Conwy.

A unique specially themed service to mark such an important occasion.

1pm Telford Town Tour by Morgan Ditchburn from Conwy History
Morgan will be leading a fascinating knowledgable town tour of Conwy. This is a Ticketed event with Limited space. Tickets can be purchased through Conwy History.

2pm Pwyllgor Aberconwy, Côr Meirion Maelgwn , a Clocswyr Conwy on Conwy Quay.
An Informal and joyful afternoon of Session Werin Cymraeg, Welsh Folk Session of music joined by the fabulous Côr Meirion Maelgwn and clog dancers.

10am - 4pm - Exhibition on Conwy and its bridges
Sian Grady will be showing over 50 boards, unseen footage, and many photos of Conwy, its bridges and the community. Including another chance to see the 15m textiles compilation, and work from the Conwy History, Pwllycrochon History and Creative Collective exhibit.
1pm A Talk by Morgan Ditchburn from Conwy History
A fascinating talk depicting a unique insight on the social history surrounding Conwy's Suspension Bridge.

2.30 - CHAPS 15 minute short play
I am delighted to welcome CHAPS as part of our community celebrations showcasing the first of 2 short performances.

3pm - The Creative Collective will be sharing & performing their spoken words, poems and songs created through the The Telford 200 Creative Collective initiative held in November 2025, with support from Creu Conwy and UK SPF.

7pm - Conwy Folk Club are hosting a special Bridge inspired Singer's night at The Comrades Club

1pm - A Talk by Sian Grady, bringing to life the stories of Conwy, the suspension Bridge and the Quay, including her family's involvement over the years, marking the importance of Miss Agnes Twiston Hughes and how the bridge was saved.
2.30 - CHAPS will be giving their second short play for the bridge.

6.30 - A fascinating illustrated talk on the amazing Lady Erskine and her involvement with the Telford Bridges, by our local 'history detective' Gemma Campbell from Pwllycrochon History
